We are hiring! Join EdTech Station as an Operations & Event Officer and help support our operations and events. In this role, you will contribute to smooth daily operations, member support, and the practical organisation of events within a dynamic and innovative EdTech ecosystem.

Together with VOV Lerend Netwerk and Groupe Epsilon asbl we had the pleasure of bringing together HR, L&D, and EdTech professionals for a full day of inspiration and connection around AI, data, and lifelong learning. We kicked off with a powerful keynote by Ulrich Petré on cultivating the joy of learning in the age of AI, a panel exploring personalization, measurement, VR, and the future of learning cultures, with Krista Rampelberg, Charles-Louis de Maere, Can-David Koycu, Bien Vanderstappen and Gilles Baudoux. In the afternoon, we had inspiring exchanges with EdTech startups and innovators showcasing tomorrow’s learning technologies and visited Hangar K A big thank you to all participants for your enthusiastic presence and curiosity, and to our speakers and partners for making this such an inspiring day.

How to get the most of a 24 hours visit in Paris? This is how we did it: AM: with edtechstation we visited a French colleague cluster Cap Digital where we met their EdTech specialist Aurite Kouts. PM: we met the one and only European XR-headset producer Lynx. Chouki HADRI the co-founder, VP Sales & marketing, gave us an exclusive demo of the most recent pre-production models. Key take-aways for us: The global EdTech market keeps accelerating fast because of increasing demands for training and education. At the same time, the pandemic has made it clear that to deliver on its promise, the EdTech sector needs to do a lot better at connecting human beings online and offline, and at creating a level-playing field for all actors in the ecosystem (including open infrastructure, and gatekeepers for dealing with AI). EdTech will need to focus its efforts on experiential learning, making use of XR technologies and AI foundation models, with special attention to ethics, inclusive (co-)design and learner agency but with a view to delivering sustainable impact for all stakeholders. Conclusion: The EdTech ecosystem in Europe is strong and policy makers have recognized this with new initiatives like the European Digital Education Hub. Looking forward to building more bridges between our local ecosystem and the European… No: even better: between our local ecosystem edtechstation and the global EdTech scene!
